Baroque Ensemble

Upcoming Performance: La Serenissima!

Monday, September 3rd at 12:15  Music Mondays

Concordo will weave its way through the musical waterways of 17th-century Venice. Concordo’s Baroque violinists Valerie Sylvester and Sheila Smyth are pleased to be joined by two of Toronto’s most dynamic and exciting early music performers, Ondrej Golias on dulcian and harpsichordist Ron Greidanus. They will showcase the rich diversity of Venetian early music with treasures by Bertali, Castello, Marini and Neri.

“This stellar quartet featured Sheila Smyth and Valerie Sylvester on baroque violins…The tightly synchronized violins relished the sumptuous harmonies in this work…This group exhibited dynamic musical chemistry playing together with a light and lively sense of expression.”
